Calm Resolve Atelier Mindful drawing courses for quiet mastery.

About Calm Resolve Atelier

Our story

We began as a small critique group for artists who wanted depth without noise. Over months of weekly sessions, a pattern emerged: when practice is calm and intention is clear, drawings improve faster and stay better. We shaped our courses around that insight and built a studio that supports steady, deliberate growth.

2019

A living-room workshop turns into monthly meetups with rotating figure sessions.

2021

Mentor-guided critiques gain traction; our first online cohort launches.

2024

Full curriculum across fundamentals, figure, watercolor, and urban sketching.

Mission

To help artists of all levels draw with intention and find calm in practice—through clear instruction, thoughtful critique, and sustainable routines.

Teaching principles

  • Clarity over complexity: concrete demos, visible process.
  • Practice in layers: build from gesture to structure to form.
  • Feedback that empowers: objective, kind, and actionable.
  • Mindful pacing: warmups, breaks, and end-of-session notes.
